BIOGRAPHY

R&B singer, songwriter, actor, and model Jaunski is frequently compared to artist like: Michael Jackson, Ralph Tresvant, Tevin Campbell, and Tony Thompson. This R&B sensation’s soulful, high pitch tenor and smooth, sensual, distinctive vocal range reflects versatility combined with his creative lyrics, and authentic swagger he has been known to captivate a very diverse audience. In 2016, La ’Expose Entertainment awarded him with the R&B Artist of the Year Award for Extraordinary People. Jaunski’s single Like Dat reached number 7 on the Top10 charts in 2012 on KAZI 88.7 FM the first week it was released earning him two award nominations for Best R&B Radio Song and Best R&B Male Artist in Austin, Texas. His acapella rendition of Usher Raymond’s "Burn"; blew away judges Bun B of UGK and Letoya Luckett at the 2004 KBXX /97.9 The Box's, Hatta's Idol competition in Houston, Texas which was his first introduction to the music scene.

McKelly LaJaunski Thomas (born December 22, 1977) grew up in the small town of Ville Platte, Louisiana in a Christian household with a single mother and his two sisters. His love for music began at a very early age. Listening to musical influences such as: Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Babyface, and Donell Jones to name a few inspired him to one day pursue a music career of his own. At the age of 16, the shy, small town boy began singing lead in his local church choir receiving standing ovations as well as singing at weddings along with his younger sister. This provided him the confidence that he needed to chase his dream of becoming a singer. After graduating from high school in 1998, Jaunski relocated to Houston, Texas in hopes of launching a career in music.

 

A year later he and a group of friends teamed up and formed an R&B singing group and began performing at local venues in the city. After few years the group decided to part ways but Jaunski’s undying passion for music motivated him to persevere. In 2004, an unexpected phone call from a local music producer and songwriter from his hometown Ville Platte, Louisiana lead to the recording of Jaunski’s first solo album titled Beware, but due to difficult business decisions with the label the album was never released. In 2006, Jaunski packed up and relocated to Austin, Texas where he teamed up with music producer Kris Keyz where he began writing and recording songs for a new album, writing songs for other local artist, collaborating, and singing hooks on songs with a variety local hip hop artist. 

On March 3, 2010, Jaunski released his first single titled
Material Things on KAZI/ 88.7 FM Radio in Austin, Texas. The song was executive produced by Kris Keyz, written and arranged by the Creole Prince himself. A week later the single was also released on KVPI/92.5 FM Radio in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Promotion for the new single began quickly with Jaunski performing at variety of small live music venues, show cases, and charity fundraisers in the city. He landed his first big break on January 16, 2012, when he was booked as the headling performer of the 2012 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration at the Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas where he performed in front and audience the consisted of over 15,000 people.

 

This opportunity sparked the interest of A&R Representatives, Record Executives, Talent Agencies and increased his fan base. The success of his 2012 hit single Like Dat created a buzz from Austin, TX to Atlanta, GA and in 2014, Jaunski packed up again and moved to Atlanta, GA in hopes of taking his career to the next level. After only 3 days of his arrival in the new city he was already performing and making a name for himself. In 2016, he auditioned and was selected by both AMTC and John Casablanca’s Acting and Modeling Agency but by then he had hit some hard-financial times, so he decided to go back home to Austin, TX where he now resides. The offers from the talent agencies made him realized that he his artistic abilities were more versatile and not only limited to music so when he returned to Austin he started attending castings for modeling and acting and landed his first acting role as a shady Secret Agent is a short film The Demaros written and directed by Taylor Renfro. Jaunski is now the founder and owner of "Studio House of Music Creators Recording Studio" in Austin, TX. He is currently working on new music for his upcoming project, performing at nite clubs and live music venues, and attending castings for modeling acting auditions. His new album is scheduled to be release this year.
